- "What can I say about the ultimate vacation rental: It was perfect. Imagine being able to wake up and look at nothing but the gentle rippling waves of the bay and swaying palm trees – all while still lying in bed. The owners were very friendly, refreshingly honest, and provided an extremely clean, idyllic location. Their property managers, Sam and Mona C. were the epitome of hospitality: Even providing rides to and from the airport! Sam in particular has an encyclopedic knowledge of the island and its history.
Given that we’d heard horror stories of vermin at Bolongo Bay, and learned online beforehand that you really have to be careful from whom you rent, as once an owner has your money – and you stay in their property – you’ll have little legal recourse . My advice is to get it all in the contract – something these smart owners were flexible enough to allow us to do. We cooked almost every meal in our condo: True to form, it was fully stocked with every cooking utensil anyone could need.
Bottom line: my buddy and I were thrilled and couldn’t have been happier with our selection. Imaging having breakfast alfresco on a balcony with a breathtaking view, then spending all of 50 seconds to walk to picture postcard spot under a palm tree on your quiet, pristine, private beach. Absolute perfection!"
